Automaton Table by Rain Noe is one such piece of furniture that will magnetize each one of you. When I first took the glimpse of it, I took it to be a simple side table, but then when I read about it and checked out the video (given below) I simply fell in love with it.

This is an unassuming piece of furniture that has tons of hidden compartments which makes it aesthetically and stylistically smart piece of furniture worth being the part of modern homes. Besides being a smart piece of furniture, it will keep your valuables safe. Trust me none of your guests or visitors will ever come to know that it is not a simple side table standing there in the corner but a safe too!

Its the craftsmanship of Craig Thibodeau, a San-Diego-based custom furniture builder who rightly refers to it as ‘Art Deco style’.  This sophisticated piece of furniture is David-Roentgen-inspired and measures 20″ in width, 20″ in depth and 34″ in length.

Made up of  Pau Ferro, maple burl, ebony, maple, stainless steel and various marquetry woods, this Art Deco Table is a mechanical table which when examined closely reveals a series of hidden elements.

When you check put the images and video you will see that in the top section is a slide out puzzle with five concentric rotating parquetry panels followed by different hidden compartments which you will have to know where these are and how to open. Slightly press on the table top results in the entire central column and the hidden compartments reveal.

When you see the central column carefully, you will see a concealed button that activates a secret drawer on the opposite side of the column. You will go crazy counting the number of compartments and find out where and ho smartly these are hidden leaving you wide-mouth opened.
